How to Get Engaged With Someone
If you really want to get engaged with somebody, meet them on their level. Don't pull them to yours. If it's video games, if it's art, like go take an art class with them. Go do what they and watch them open up. Meet them in their environment where they thrive and they feel ultimately comfortable. And the last one is, um, I want to get these kids away from their phone technology headphones out in the real world to have conversations.
