How to Diagnose and Treat Shock

If you are suspecting hemorrhagic shock, consider calling a gastroenterologist for an urgent gastroscopy to assess for upper GI causes of bleed. You want to secure good intravenous access with large, more peripheral IVs and or a central line to administer vasopressors. Each of these comes with its own differential, which we just went through.
