How to Overoptimize for the Top Line Number
We've learned almost some bad lessons the last few years, haven't we? Like especially folks that are newer to SaaS or Cloud, they've learned to maybe some very bad best practices for sales and marketing. But there actually is an ability to control that gross margin number. And I think broadly within the company, if you are hyper-focused on, again, like some form of gross profit or gross margin dollars, just the top line, it can manifest in drive behavior such that you improve gross margins and ultimately improve the value of the business.
