Microsoft's first office opened in 2009 with the idea that all are welcome, doers, not talkers. The garage has become this 24 locations around the world where customers and external get together to solve problems. "I didn't feel like it lacked anything necessarily that a physical interaction would bring," says Microsoft co-founder Satya Nadella.
