Getting Feedback Is Critical to PhD Candidate's Success

i am a ph d candidate in neuro science, trying to finish up. My supervisor leaves early every day and does an engage with his students that much. When i do get feedback, it is often out of the blue and not very helpful. I think this is a common need for b ph d Candidates to get there.
