The buddha identified four categories for objects of attachment. The first is called attachment to sense desires, where we get attached to or fixated about pleasures. Second its translated retainly as attachment to rights and rituals, rites, not r i g h t s but like religious rituals. And then there's an important distinction between respect for the person you are, and loyalty to them. Attachment to self should be laid out in a road map that's laid out by the buddhist ancestors.
