Are Habits Really About Repetition?
Habits are much more about repetitions than time elapsed. People perform habits not because they actually want the result, but because the result of the habit. Habits that run against the grain of the tribe are very unattractive. The key is to join a group where the desired behaviour is an normal behavior and you already have something else in common. Then you can become friends over that other commonality. Once you're friends, then you have a reason to pick up the behaviour that you wanted in the first place.
