The more that we breathe through our nose, the better our nose becomes at facilitating nasal breathing. It's common if you're in your fifties and you get up to urinate three times a night, but it's not optimal. Avoiding large volumes of water within the hour before bed can also be helpful. Mouth-taping prevents your tongue from collapsing on your airway when or if your mouth breathing.
