The high rep or pump workouts are usually less effective for building muscle and they quickly stop working for most people. The big compound movements that most people are familiar with are the barbell back squat, conventional deadlift, barbell bench press, barbell row, and the military or overhead barbell press. You can regress any of these movements, but including these in your program is going to be massively important.
