Understanding by Design - The Underpinnings of Leading Modern Learning
Leading modern learning is the underpinnings of an understanding by design framework. It proposes that we should be teaching for understanding as opposed to just superficial coverage of lots of stuff. Backward design, as you know, could be applied by individual teachers planning units of study with lessons within. And it can be applied by a team of teachers working together.
