I don't think it's very plausible in terms of the amount of effort that people often put into trying to arrange things for after they die. never affect your consciousness you'll never know whether that person's operation did go well or not so when you are dead other people will benefit from that. I mean there's an anecdote about Hobbes that goes along the lines of Hobbes was walking through London with a companion and Beggo came and asked for money but Hobbes said no I gave the money to the Beggo because it made me happy to see the look of pleasure on his face. It just seems to dilute the notion of what pleasure is to a point that
