I always insist that they go back to actually at a very bare minimum, knowing why they're doing what they've asked me to do. I really prefer them to have am more than a parsey. And really it becomes about asking the right questions and being prepared to kind of push back and say, look, i don't actually think that this is what you need. You need something completely different.
