The Congolese Revolution

Le Mumba was in power for only two and a half months. The US and Belgium then supported another Congolese leader, Joseph Muboutu. He would become a dictator that ruled the country with an iron fist. That would end in 1997 after Rebels forced him to flee. They changed the name of the country back to the Democratic Republic of Congo.
