The Adventures of Sir Ernest Henry Shackleton
Sir Ernest Henry Shackleton led the first expedition to cross Antarctica on foot. He and his crew were trapped in an ice flow for months, with no food or water. The radio was too weak to send distress signals so they had to live off the land. To survive against all those odds "seemed nearly impossible," says author David Walliams.
