The Secret of Mindfulness Meditation
We all have more control over what we experience and what we feel than we think we do. The secret is to understand that control doesn't always mean changing what you feel in the moment. It can mean changing how you understand the meaning of what you feel, of what affect means. You can actually figuratively change your environment by just paying attention to different features of your environment. And after a while, i was able to do it really automatically, like just to switch into that mode because i'd practised it quite a bit.
