How to Deal With Distraction

People tend to fall into two categories. The blamers are the ones who say, oh, it's the technology. It's Facebook. It's the iPhone or here's my favorite. That's what's doing it to me. They blame things outside of themselves. But you can't change any of that stuff. You have no agency and control over to host companies. Your email is not suddenly going to stop coming. What we want to do is to reshape those impulsive behaviors,. break those bad habits so that we do more helpful behaviors as opposed to these more harmful behaviors.
