The idea behind a big idea is that it's emotionally compelling and it's new and unique. Porter Stansbury, the guy who started Stansbury Research, he launched or released a promotion that's today referred to as the new railroad. He saw a connection in his mind between the spread of fiber optic cable and the impact on the original growth of the railroad.
