Is the City a Good Place to Have Fun?

In the modern city, it's a great place to have fun. But would you see that as being a big part of cities as well? These days? I think in the experience of the average person, the fun is much more important than the spark of true brilliance. And maybe it's just hard to see greatness when it's too close to you.
