Josh: I'm trying to give a physiological base for what ketas has just alluded to in that an enriched environment this is why it's so important to have a general physical preparedness for athletes. Josh: The area that really fascinates me is that we can get away with developing athletes through manipulations of volumes and intensities in a lot of sports such as weightlifting or say like American football. He says the more specific training they just won't be able to recover from because they produce so much effort and damage to their systems every time they train. Joshua: For these elite people to keep developing it's about putting all this variation and variability into their training to further progress.
