Why the Frontal Lobe Has Unconscious Regions
The frontal lobe has unconscious regions that are constantly keeping track of tasks we haven't completed, sometimes for the better. The mind is still working on the problem, even though we're not consciously aware of it. Nelson cohen noted that there's a magical mystery of four which is the amount of basic tasks we can hold in consciousness at any one given time. But then, if we and it doesn't matter how intelligent or efficient we are, once we surpass this magical number our memory becomes overwhelmed. And that's where a chain of really unfortunate events starts happening.
