The Importance of Discharge Instructions in Emergency Medicine

I've learned basically if nothing makes sense, look at the drugs. I always give the patient a lot of advice before they go in and give them new drugs. There's always a potential for drug interaction that might surprise us and the patient. Good discharge instructions when you're adding any new medication to look out for side effects is an excellent practical point as well.
