The Importance of Neuroplasticity in Traumatic Brain Injury

The brain can sometimes exhibit what's called neuroplasticity, which means that if some brain cells have died, sometimes other brain regions can take over those functions and help that person function normally again. It is fairly well defined evidence based on numerous studies, people with TBI have a brain energy deficit. We need to think about strategic ways to restore brain energy metabolism.
