Off season is giving you a break at the end of the season, allowing you to recover. Base training is as you're starting to build up again. It's very difficult for runners to acknowledge that they are a little bit slower. And so they'll turnd to look at the watch a bit too much,. potentially doing the speed sessions too hard.
