How Do You Prepare for a Race?

For race preparation I really like visualization. It's important to visualize how am I going to tackle this situation when it's not going well just so that we can remain calm during a race or an event. Having them hang stuff around their houses on their mirrors, elevation maps with little cues that tell them stuff about the climb. Those are two of my really big ones and then breathing techniques because there is a level of anxiety and fear going into any event. And using it to our advantage rather than letting it sort of take away from our performance.
