The Importance of Strength Training After a Marathon
After a marathon or an ultra, after some recovery, it could be the right moment to rebuild some strength in particular for women. I try to structure my strength training throughout the season in a way that has much less strength training during the season itself. Do as little strength training as you can get away with to make sure that you've remained injury free and that you do maintain your strength game. But I soon would make it a priority because it's still not that specific to trail running itself.
