Growth Equity vs Outright Acquisition - What's the Difference?
The growth equity option placed a higher valuation on the company than the actual outright acquisition. That would have been to my downfall as well potentially because they had preferred, they would have taken on preferred shares in the company. It meant I had to hit a much bigger exit in order to really walk away with a similar amount of money for myself and my team.
