CBT cognitive behavioral therapy is a form of self-help. It can be used to interrupt negative thought patterns or habits, says the author. The more you become familiar with your habits, the more as I say, notice them with compassion rather than beating yourself up even more. To me, it's going to the gym - if I have a depression, I'll dip. I'll go into it. You can't fight it. Once it starts to lift again, I start doing mindfulness and all really all it gives me is I know when another one is coming.
