Airway Clearance and Impaired Cough in a Pediatric Patient

This chapter explores the physiological mechanisms of airway clearance and cough, and discusses the implications of neuromuscular weakness and impaired cough clearance in a pediatric patient with cerebral palsy. It also discusses non-pharmacologic adjuncts for airway clearance and the different devices available for this purpose.
