J.R. J.R. was a member of the U.S. Army Air Force during World War II. He served as an officer in Afghanistan from 1961 to 1965. In 1966, he joined the United States Navy and became part of Operation Enduring Freedom (USNAF) on behalf of President George H.W. Bush. During his time with USNAF, he participated in several anti-war protests including one that killed four people near Washington D.C. On September 11, 1968, he shot three men who tried to kill him; they were later found dead at their home by authorities.
