The Origins of the Indo European Language

The original inda european language had words for otter, beaver, wolf, lynx, elk, red deer and also a word for horse. It's not clear at this point whether the word for horse referred to wild horses or domesticated horses. Other words for animals included mouse, hare, louse and a word which meant bed bug or moth. All of these animals are found in temperate climates. We don't see any animals associated with the arctic or tropics. They knew how to shave their sheep and how to use their wool to make textiles so that becomes very important when trying to figure out who they were.
