Some people have reactants as a personality trait where they, when someone tries to get them to do something too hard, they'll actually wonder the opposite. That makes sense. So sometimes they just don't want to be shaped. And you know, I think if I'm pretty relaxed about it and I'm using positive sort of methods, they're not going to necessarily mind. But I feel like unlike how my dogs seem to be, my dogs mostly seem like endlessly interested in doing things that I will feel like doing,. Whereas my kids, it seems like I pretty quickly come up against this desire for autonomy.
