The Essential Question Is Changing the Game for Some Students

The best indicator that the essential question is really having effect is when students start asking questions off of your question. Teachers should be explicit about what they're doing and why they're posing ecentral questions, number one. But more important, ali they would invite student questions. And over time, in a class and over the grades, kids would become better at posing escential questions themselves.
