Charles Frederick Worth's Death
During his time at Gajulon, he introduced Jet, a type of deep black gemstone similar to coal. Jean Philippe would later follow in his father's footsteps as one of the first to incorporate Cervosci crystals into his designs in 1900. In 1890, having worked in the fashion trade in one capacity or another for 50 years, Charles Frederick Worth retired. The elder worth led a quiet life of leisure and travel until he died on March 10, 1895. This date is particularly significant because for years, the couturier had been terrified of the date March 10.
