Confounding by Indication - What's the Right Approach?
The first thing is to measure appropriate variables that are risk factors for acute kidney injury. We included a long list of risk factors including past medical history, vital signs and mechanical ventilation. Once you've identified your confounding variables, what's the right approach to analytically control for that confounding? So as Swat most said, you can do multivariable regression or propensity score approaches.
