EastEnders' Cliffhangers

EastEnders is one of the longest running shows in the UK with over 6,500 episodes. Despite airing 4 times a week, the show draws in 5 million viewers per episode. So these cliffhangers, leaving people in suspense, they clearly work. But cliffhangers aren't new, it's not something the EastEnders producers came up with. They have been around for thousands of years and are still being used today.
