Dropping Anchor: A Simple Mindfulness Exercise
One of my favourite skills in teaching people how to do this is something that I call dropping anchor. It's an umbrella term for literally hundreds of different mindfulness exercises. But they all follow a basic formula, the ACE formula. And usually cycling through these three or four times over the space of a couple of minutes helps people sort of ground and centre themselves.
