The Third Force Once the CIA Gets Involved
The CIA has a weird kind of position in the whole governmental apparatus because it reports directly to the president. It's sort of under the direct authority of the president via the National Security Council, which is also created through that same legislation. But they need some buffer where things can happen so long as there's a general. They die in the effort or they're captured. And so it leads only to mayhem really for the CIA itself or particularly for the Chinese agents who are being recruited. I mean, this success rate is zero. It's abysmal.
