The Official Reign of Terror - A Bloody Week

The victims of a bloody week tend to come from the lower middle classes and lower classes. They are targeted for trying to move the revolution beyond whatever center the moderates have tried to establish. Unlike a reign of terror, it is not accompanied by a similar attack against conservatives, reactionaries, and restorationists unless some group of them also attempted to stage some kind of violent counter-revolution.
