The Value of Being Specialized

I think people do underrate how much value there is in being sufficiently specialized that you can realistically be the best person in the world or among the best 10 or 20 in some intersection of different domains. I don't actually follow this advice directly because my newsletter is very generalist and I tend to have a generalist approach to a lot of things but I, the things that I do would be a lot harder if there weren't people in Maxfield on banks or like Dylan Patel and double Loughlin doing some of these like FinTech.
