How to Get the Volume in High School, You Know?

In high school, whenever we would do longer tempo runs, for longer steady runs, like we'd always break, almost always breakt up. And i think it's a way, especially in high school, to allow you to get the volume without the kind of mental drudgery. So if it's just, hey, run six to seven miles and just focus on that, and then go ahead and run five to six miles  and then run three miles plus two, the ask is declining in duration. It also fits in well with joe's overall philosophy, which a, you can see in the training of jim white, a four o seven high school miler.
