Founders like to know that they're working for something. Give em ext given m extra carrots, but youn line them or an elon mosk is kind of famous for this at tesla. Most boards are willing to pay for performance, and pay significant amounts for performance. And i think if you're in the seat of the founder c o and you're confident in your business, the actual economic outcomes will be far greater.
