Film Review - Lewis Milestones Black and Whites

I thought it was a fantastic film technically the cinematography is absolutely striking and I also thought that performance by the young central character Felix camera. There were things about the film I didn't like so much, compared with the original adaptation of the book in which the characters are essentially Americans. It ends up being a somewhat pro German account of the end of the war. And I think that explains why over a century after the event, filmmakers are still drawn to it.
