Sally Kohn: There is a lineage of what has been called transformative justice or like these structures of accountability that are often traced to a sort of specific scene of African-American community organizing. And I find so offensive how people who have literally no connection whatsoever to anything resembling that use language that they have like, like grafted off of that in order to justify their own like whack fucking behavior. It's punitive logic that to me is, is wrong. She says the best way to address this without relying on police and trying to transform the situation is by creating healthy responses from everyone involved.
