i think maybe what's really at stake here is how do we highlight maybe design strategies or like genre trends that are less popular or less visible these days. i want spelunky to go down in history as like you know like rogue did it it deserves a place in the pantheon um as a genre name and I just feel like darrick earned it. It was an easy argument to be made that progression systems are more prevalent in contemporary game landscape but there were other ways of making games, says Regan.
