Dopemen Desire Circuit
The most recently evolved part of the brain is called the dopemen control circuit. It's about planning and working with abstract knowledge. The desire circuit says, i want that dona; the control circuit says, you know what? We might be happier right now if we eat the doughnut, but ten years from now, we'll be happier if we don't eat the doghnut. A person who has a strong desire circuit can be hedonistic - they're going out to clubs, picking up girls and drinking a lot of alcohol. They are also more likely to have long term plans for the future.
