The Best Thing About Cognitive Load Theory

Cognitive load theory can be an incredible time saver for teachers. It's not saying our lessons can't be interesting, we can't share every now and again some information that's not obviously going to be on the test. There is more to learning than just on the test but it's about working out where are we spending our time and our effort? If that's not the thing that's going to lead to a learning game then I think cognitive load theory is actually quite liberating.
