The Different Functions of the Mouth
The mouth in humans serves many different functions. Here we're talking about its function for eating and chewing and swallowing food. Let's start by talking about the salivary gland. So it's actually not part of the mouth there in accessory organ, but they're located near the mouth. The salivary glands are exocrine glands. That means that they produce and excrete a hormone or other substance.
