The Importance of Calories in Nutrition
Liver, meat spleen and small dried fish were the three most nutrient-dense foods in a recent study. The report was done by an NGO that works to end malnutrition around the world. It ranked food according to calories needed to provide one third of recommended intakes of vitamins A, folate, B12, calcium, iron, and zinc. Livers are already almost six times higher in nutrient density than spleen.
