The Importance of Eating as You Feel
There is a school of thought here when it comes to hydration, for instance, people talk about ad libitum and drinking as you feel. Is there any merit to suggest that nutrition could be done in the same way? And would that apply to sport in performance? I don't know many people who really do enjoy eating 90 grams of hour of carbohydrate on a bike. Some rugby players I work with say they're looking forward to when they're tired, being able to eat normally again. So I think it'd be extreme end of sport, but you probably do need to retrain your body into taking on the foods that we need to be optimal for performance.
