Progressive Overload: A Critical Factor for the Advanced Lifter

The advanced lifter who's been doing picking the exercises he loves to do most is probably holding him back. He's already maximized out the amount of hypertrophy that those motor units are controlling. And then as he adds more volume to doing that, now he's literally just what I call going in the gym and training to get tired. So we actually need to be trying to find a way to see progressive overload happening as regularly as possible. That could come from doing a main set and a back offset.
